Empty Tic Tac Organizer

I have had my ribbons organized in tic tac boxes for a long time. It is great because the ribbons don't be crumped and I can see the color I need just looking at the bottom. You can use empty tic tac. I don't keep the ribbon outside. I just put the box upside down to see the colors.
Have a nice weekend!

Talking

Hello everybody, I've been busy here.

I have just passed by to say I have a project of talking to care home elderly via Skype. I think this would be great for them to exchange ideas, talk about recipes or hobbies just for fun. If you know someone who wants to talk to me, please, keep in touch here. Thank you. Have a lovely Sunday.

Braided towels

Hello Everybody,

We are on vacation in Brazil, so it is time to cleaning up, get rid of things to give to the nuns. I believe that the flux of things can keep on going taking the stagnant energy. According to Feng Shui, clutter is one kind of stagnant energy. I also like the wind chimes very much. I gave one to my sister made from bamboo because it is sounds like a water fountain. It is very soothing and relaxing. The other kind made from cooper sounds like a song. Here are two new towels I made. Have a lovely week.

Carrot cake and Pot holders

My mother asked me to make a pot holder. So, here they are! I made a surprise to her. I let it on her house, but didn't sign on the note. She guessed right due to a rag on it. She bought the fabric when I was a child. The stitch of my sewing machine is bad as you can see. Today I made a carrot cake and it is scrumptious! My daughter's quilt is damaged, so I decided to make it. Let's see how long it will take to finish! Have a lovely weekend!

Carrot Cake

Ingredients:

3 large eggs
1 cup of vegetable oil
3 medium carrots, peeled and sliced
2 cups of white sugar
2 cups of plain floor
1 tablespoon of baking powder
a pinch of salt
a pinch of vanilla

Chocolate icing:
1 cup of white sugar
1 cup of chocolate
1 tablespoon of butter
2 tablespoons of milk
In a bowl, combine the ingredients in a pan and heat them in the stove for the butter melts. Put on the top of the cake while hot.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Grease and floor a cake tin. Mix all the dry ingredients. In a blender combine  the eggs, oil and the carrots until smooth and add on the dry ingredients. Mix well with a wooden spoon. Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean. Pour the chocolate icing into the hot cake.

Spool Knitter or I-cord Maker?

Spool Knitting, or I-cord maker or whatever you'd like to call it, the work is amazing.

Time flies and I have been a little busy here. Tomorrow is my birthday. Finally I have finished some projects that I had started including cleaning up.  Why do we keep so many things thinking we will need them?

I have been making my towels to sell too. I will show them soon. Here it is a baby sweater I have made for a present. I love to give the presents made by myself. I also made an i-cord to show you, but it is not so easy as I thought. Insert the yarn into the opening and wind the yarn as shown in the picture. When you complete the round, pull over the last loop over the top loops.  Don't fasten the loops because it will be hard to pull over the last one.

We had a beautiful day last Saturday, so different from today, which is very cold and the sky is gray. I took a picture of Costa Rica bus arriving in Santos. There is an exhibition of the Mexican at the Mall. Arriba!! Bienvinidos!!

Have a nice weekend.

A Baby Hat!

Hello Everybody,

I have already finished the baby sweater but I didn't sew it yet. This is the first hat I knitted. There are new Mexican ice-creams on the mall. They are really delicious. Well, I have been knitting and I will sew the baby sweater to show you. Have a lovely week!
